Alizen Elliston, 19, of Bridgeport was arrested on Wednesday, Aug. 21, and charged with assault, said Trumbull Police Department Lt. Brian Weir.

According to Weir, the victim, a Bridgeport man, learned that a credit card which had been left in his stolen vehicle was being used at a store at the mall. Shortly after noon, the man went to the mall and located his stolen vehicle in the mall parking lot with the two young teens inside.

When the man approached the teens, a confrontation took place, and Elliston allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the man in the left side of his torso, Weir said.

The man was able to restrain Elliston and disarm her until police arrived. The second woman fled the area on foot, he said.

Responding officers treated the victim at the scene and recovered the knife nearby in the parking lot.

The victim was treated on scene by Trumbull EMS and transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital.

The vehicle involved, a 2016 Ford Fusion, was stolen earlier when it was left parked on the street in Bridgeport, near Manhattan Avenue and Wayne Street, Weir said.

Elliston was charged with assault, larceny, threatening, carrying a dangerous weapon, illegal possession of a weapon in a vehicle, and breach of peace.

She is being held on $250,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Friday, Aug. 30.

Trumbull Police detectives have identified the second female suspect, a juvenile, and are attempting to locate her in the area.

Weir said the second teen is allegedly responsible for using the credit card in the mall and driving the stolen vehicle.
